Christmas is a holiday meant to celebrate the birth of Christ people.
Whether or not you celebrate Christmas for that reason doesnt change what the purpose of the holiday exists for or the definition of the holiday.

I can claim birthdays are meant to celebrate the easter bunny all I want to, but it would be incorrect.

Why is it so offensive for some people just to admit that even if you dont celebrate the original intent of the holiday of Christmas that it is indeed a christian holiday meant for the purpose of celebrating the birth of Christ?

i have a friend who is jewish, both of his parents are and hes had a barmitzvah and everything. today he was telling me that his family celebrates Hanukkah and christmas, and when i asked him why they celebrate christmas he was like i dont know. just because. they dont get a tree or anything but they still exchange gifts on that day. i know friends who celebrate both because they have 2 parents of different religions and obviously i know of jewish people who go to christmas parties with friends and stuff. i just find it almost offense that they celebrate a holiday based on something they dont actually believe in. any thoughts?

I am wrapping up the gifts for all my co-workers. I have one who is Jewish so hers in done in a Hanukkah bag, but I have one who is a Jehovah Witness and from what little I know they don’t celebrate or partake in holiday celebrations. So if I do a winter theme bag, no santa, no tree etc.. and just write on the card Happy Winter or For all you do will that cut it? Will she even except a small gift? How else can I be correct in giving this non-celebratory gift?
